We build the bridges from "the ground up" i.e. we have the plant, personnel and expertise to complete any foundations, concrete and timber support structures and fabricate and install the bridge superstructure.

For simple, single lane, single span bridges the design service we offer is "in-house". We can design, produce construction drawings and obtain the building permit from the appropriate Local Authority prior to the on-site construction process. For these straight forward structures that span bank-to-bank and do not encroach on the stream waterway area, a resource consent from the Regional Council is not normally required. For more complicated bridges, we employ the services of specialist engineers to complete the paperwork and consent/permit process.

All our bridges are designed to the Transit New Zealand loadings code and recommendations, to either 85% HN (highway normal) for farm and limited access bridges and full HN for larger subdivision bridges servicing more than 10 or 12 properties. Design life is at least 50 years, though some of the structures may require periodic maintenance especially if, for example, they are used as stock crossing bridges.
